Peels & Co wasn’t born overnight.
It grew, slowly and consciously, from a series of experiences that changed how our founders, Prasanna Kumar Aakash and Gagan Tahiliani, looked at the world around them.
One such moment took place by the banks of the Yamuna River, where they couldn’t stand for more than ten minutes because of the unbearable pollution and foul smell.
“That experience shook us. It made us realize how far we’ve drifted from nature, and how a small, visible difference could help it heal itself. That’s when we decided to work on bioenzyme-based, biodegradable products.”
— Prasanna, Co-founder
Another turning point came when they learned about the Bathinda–Bikaner Train (Train No. 339), often referred to as the “cancer train.” It carried hundreds of patients from Punjab to Bikaner, their illnesses linked to years of consuming chemical-ridden produce.
These moments left a profound impact, enough for the duo to leave behind two decades of corporate life and dedicate themselves to one clear purpose: to make homes and the planet a chemical-free abode.
